Kathy Hochul is the Democratic Governor of New York, the first woman to hold that office. She became governor in August 2021 after the resignation of Andrew Cuomo, having served as Lieutenant Governor since 2015, and was elected to a full term in 2022. She previously served in the U.S. House (2011–2013).
